Brownies

Girlguiding

We have all four Girlguiding sections at Christ Church: Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Seniors.  We meet on Monday evenings in the Church Centre in term time.

3rd Chislehurst Rainbows.  For girls aged 5 - 7.  We follow a programme based around the four strands Look, Learn, Laugh, Love.  Rainbows work on challenges called 'Roundabouts' which reflect topics such as Festivals, Seasons, and All About Me.

1st Chislehurst Brownies.  For girls aged 7 - 10.  We focus on the three areas of the Brownie programme: You, Your Community, The World.  Girls enjoy a varied programme which they help to develop themselves, working together in small groups called 'sixes'.

1st Chislehurst Guides. For girls aged 10 - 14.  Guides follow a dynamic programme which they organise in their small groups called 'patrols'.  They work towards challenges called 'Go For Its', developing their own adventures, as well as enjoying a wide range of activities together, from a Capital Cleap-Up project in Chislehurst Rec to all sorts of trips and adventures in the UK and beyond.  Read our blog on our recent trip to Iceland here.

1st Chislehurst 'Blizzard' Senior Section.  For girls and young women aged 14-25.  They make their own programme such as the Look Wider scheme which is a personal development programme, plus putting forward their own ideas for projects.  Several of our Senior Section help with local units and are working towards the Young Leader Qualification.

How do I register my daughter?

You can register girls for any of the units here.

How can I get involved in leading?

All Girlguiding units are run by volunteers.  Helen Beecher Bryant oversees the units, with leadership teams which we are always looking to expand. Volunteering with Girlguiding is hugely rewarding and there are several units across the area which are looking for volunteers.  A quick email to This email address is being protected from spambots.
